3 Things we learnt as exhibitors at Street Food Live London - The Responsible packaging expo edition

Packgenie took to the sales floor at the Street Food Live event at the London Excel Centre last month to showcase all things custom branded packaging. We were joined by our like minded competitors within the Responsible packaging area of the show to highlight key sustainability factors within the industry and bring our packaging market place to life.

It was great to meet with other exhibitors and most importantly meet new potential customers face to face to understand their packaging needs!

We enjoyed every minute of the show, but here are the top 3 things we have taken away with us….

Packaging expo at the london excel centre custom branded packaging stand

  1. Branding is Key

Designing and putting your stand together is a great way to draw in customers. Our Packgenie Purple branding stood out amongst the stands and injected some fun vibrant visuals in to the packaging area, after all we are driven by the plain verses printed concept and we feel our playful interactive stand did just this, in other words the stand spoke for itself.

2. Face to face customer interaction drives sales

When it comes to giving your customers what they want the key is to fully understand their requirements. Meeting customers face to face is a great way to interact with them as they can focus on the products that best suit their business needs. Seeing first hand how a customer reacts to the products you have available is a great way to help them build on their branded packaging.

Packgenie offer a wide range of flat pack self assemble food packaging in the form of nested food trays perfect for multiple food dishes such as hot dogs, chicken wings, fish and chips just to name a few. At the show it was a great way to demonstrate how simple the trays & burger boxes are constructed. This gave potential customers the opportunity to set the products up play around with different options to see what would best fit their business.

It was a great opportunity for us to meet some of our existing customers who popped down to say hello, this led to repeat orders!

3. Samples, samples samples!

We took along crates full of samples all FREE for our customer to take away with them. Giving away samples gives them something to to remember Packgenie by, which then leads to future sales. Everybody loves a freebie!
